The original article titled “Comparative evaluation of alteration in salivary flow rate between betal Nut/Gutkha chewers with and without OSMF, and healthy subjects: A prospective case-control study” published in Oncology Journal of India, on pages 1-7, Issue 1, Volume 5, 2021[1], has number of unattributed sections of content with high rate of similarity with two other articles titled “Comparative evaluation of alteration in salivary pH among gutkha chewers with and without oral submucous fibrosis and healthy subjects: A prospective case-control study” published in Journal of Current Oncology, Volume 3, Issue 1, 2020.[2] and “Comparative evaluation of alteration in taste perception among Gutkha chewers with and without OSMF and healthy subjects: A prospective case-control study” published in Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Volume 26, Issue 2, 2022.[3]
As there is substantial overlap of content in articles published in Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Journal of Current Oncology, the journal's editorial office has decided to retract the article.
